Job summary

CSpring is a data-driven consulting firm in the United States seeking a BI Developer to design, build, and optimize Cognos and Tableau reporting solutions for Medicaid data. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy and performance across the enterprise data model.

You’ll contribute throughout the BI lifecycle, participate in Agile ceremonies, and help production support teams deliver reliable insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise BI reports, dashboards, and related reporting objects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a BI Developer and technical subject matter expert for IBM Cognos Analytics and Tableau reporting solutions.
• Provide Cognos administration support and backup to the current Cognos administrator as needed, including user access, security, deployments, scheduling, monitoring, and environment support.
• Maintain, support, and enhance existing Cognos reports, packages, dashboards, and Tableau workbooks and data sources.
• Design and build new Cognos reports and Tableau dashboards based on approved business requirements and reporting standards.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, create report and dashboard mockups, and refine solutions through iterative feedback.
• Collaborate with the data team to understand source data, define reporting datasets, resolve data issues, and ensure solutions align with the enterprise data model.
• Develop complex reports and visualizations, including prompts, drill-throughs, calculations, sub reports, graphical components, and well-formatted outputs.
• Recommend enhancements that improve usability, performance, data quality, and the business value of existing and new reporting objects.
• Create intuitive dashboards and reports that communicate clear, actionable insights to business users.
• Validate report results against source and warehouse data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout development and maintenance.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work within the project team under the direction of project management and technical leads to deliver reliable reporting solutions and production support.
