Job summary

Neuberger Berman is seeking a Developer to design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and analytics within the Enterprise Data Management group in Chicago. You will develop data pipelines, curate datasets, and automate reporting using Python and SQL, while collaborating with investment, trading, risk, research, and operations teams.

The role requires strong data modeling and data quality skills, with experience in Aladdin or Bloomberg platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field plus 4 years in financial services.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field plus 2 years in financial services.
• 4 years (or 2 with a Master’s) of experience translating business requirements from non-technical stakeholders into technical specs and docs.
• Experience with financial platforms or data sources like Aladdin or Bloomberg.
• Developing and automating data processing, analytics, or reporting workflows using Python; performing SQL data manipulation.
• Designing and publishing reports or dashboards across core data domains for front office risk/investment management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain BI dashboards and analytics on the firm’s BI platform.
• Develop and enhance data pipelines and curated datasets, including databases, schemas, and data transformations.
• Implement automation for reporting and operational workflows using scripting and APIs.
• Support CI/CD and change management for BI and data pipeline releases with deployment standards and documentation.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into technical designs.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring to ensure data quality and reliability of dashboards.
• Drive platform best practices and user adoption.
