Job summary

Neuberger Berman Group LLC in Chicago, IL seeks a Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain BI dashboards and analytics on the firm’s BI platform. A hybrid schedule may be allowed within a commutable distance from the worksite, per company policy.

You will partner with investment, trading, risk, research and operations teams to translate needs into designs, build data pipelines, automate reporting with Python and SQL, and support CI/CD for BI releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field plus four (4) years of financial services industry experience in the position offered, as a Data/Portfolio Analyst, or a related position.
• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field plus two (2) years of financial services industry experience in the position offered, as a Data/Portfolio Analyst, or a related position.
• Experience working with financial professionals (portfolio managers, traders, risk management, front office) to translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Experience with financial platforms/data sources (Aladdin or Bloomberg) and data models; developing automated data processing and analytics workflows using Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain BI dashboards and analytics on the firm’s BI platform.
• Develop and enhance data pipelines and curated datasets to support reporting.
• Implement automation for reporting and operational workflows using scripting and APIs.
• Support CI/CD and change management for BI and data pipeline releases across environments.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring to improve data quality.
• Drive platform best practices and user adoption.
