The role requires vigilance to detect anomalies and to alert Baggage Jam Runners/Manual Encode Operators, Technicians and the Contract Manager when situations arise. The operator should understand the physical layout and controls to efficiently manage baggage flow during daily operations and to direct response staff to incidents, ensuring safe and efficient

Overall Responsibility:

The role of the BHS Operator is to constantly monitor the status of the maintained systems and alert Baggage Jam Runners/Manual Encode Operators, Technicians and the Contract Manager when situations occur that need their attention. The BHS Control Room Operator shall have a good understanding of the physical system layout and associated controls functionality in order to efficiently manage the baggage flow during the daily operation through the BHS and direct the response staff to the incidents.

The BHS Control Room Operator shall fully understand all the functions of the BHS Control Systems, the Aviation approved System Contingency
