Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Cath Lab Tech-EP Lab in Lexington, KY for full-time first shift. The team performs invasive cardiac services including cath lab, EP, ablations and device implants. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified individuals.

Responsibilities include imaging, device implantation support, and procedure assistance in a high‑level cardiovascular program. No call, no weekends, and no holidays are guaranteed for this role.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree or equivalent.
• Radiologic Technologist certificate required.
• Active ARRT Registry.
• Current Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging license.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within one year of hire.
• NIHSS certification upon Neurovascular orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide healthcare services using cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedures.
• Assist with arterial/venous sheath removals and closures.
• Support physicians during electrophysiology procedures and device implants.
• Perform digital imaging techniques with proper aseptic technique.
• Manage complications including air emboli, stroke, and perforations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintain professional ethics.

Baptist Health invasive cardiac services, where compassionate care meets advanced treatment and research. Our three units encompass the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Cardiovascular Observation Unit. Our invasive Cardiac Services include cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, percutaneous catheter interventions, cardiac MEMs, interventional neurology, interventional radiology, cardiac ablations, pacemakers/defibrillators, left atrial appendage occlusion devices, loop recorder implants, transesophageal echocardiograms, and electrical cardioversions. The cardiovascular observation unit also serves as our preoperative and postoperative area. At Baptist Health, we treat the whole person, offering hope and strength on every patient’s journey.

Description for Cath Lab Tech-EP Lab

• Provides healthcare services using cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedures.
• Arterial/venous sheath removals and/or closure devices
• Assisting physicians during electrophysiology procedures. Competent in:
• Atrial and Ventricular Ablation procedures; LAAO Procedures and Lead Extractions.
• Assisting physicians during the implantation of permanent pacemakers / ICDs3.
• Performing digital imaging techniques.
• Aseptic technique.
• Management of complications such as but not limited to, air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis reactions, perforations of vessels and cardiac tamponade.
• Complies with regulatory guidelines.
• Demonstrates professional judgment in performance of services and maintains demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
• No call, no holidays and no weekends.

Qualifications for Cath Lab Tech-EP Lab

• Associate degree.
• Certificate for Radiologic Technologist.
• Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry.
• Current Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
• ACLS certification within one year of hire.
• Obtain NIHSS certification upon completion of Neurovascular orientation.
