Job summary

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts, located in downtown Tampa, seeks a bartender supervisor to oversee bar areas and ensure exceptional guest service during performances and events. This on-site role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and operational excellence in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll lead bartenders and barbacks, assist with onboarding, manage schedules, and help control inventory. A professional appearance and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and available to work on-site as scheduled.
• Able to work evenings and weekends.
• Proficient bartending and cocktail mixing skills.
• Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS systems.
• Ability to lead and relate to staff.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Strong cash handling and math skills.
• Excellent attendance and schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with successful operations of all bar areas.
• Maintain efficient lines and exceptional service.
• Supervise bartenders and barbacks per Flowchart.
• Ensure bars have adequate coverage.
• Maintain professional uniform appearance.
• Assist with onboarding/training of staff.
• Assist with staff scheduling.
• Assist monthly liquor inventory.
• Complete closing duties and reports.
