Job summary

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa is seeking a part-time Restaurant Supervisor to oversee operations across three on-site dining venues. You will train staff, lead by example, manage opening/closing checklists, and drive superior guest service while supporting budget objectives.

Flexible event-based hours and a team-oriented environment are offered. Candidates should have at least one year of supervisory experience in hospitality, strong communication, and cash handling

Qualifications

• At least one year of prior supervisory experience in a hospitality environment.
• Experience in a table-service restaurant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patrons receive superior service and recommends new ideas to increase productivity.
• Assists with evaluating the performance of the restaurant staff.
• Encourages upselling from staff.
• Reviews daily reservation list from Tessitura and coordinates table arrangements, staffing, and food preparation accordingly.
• Reviews any VIP tables or special requests.
• Completes daily paperwork accurately to ensure the appropriate allocations.
• Manages the timely arrival and departure of staff members through effective scheduling.
• Makes recommendations on restaurant improvements including but not limited to quality of service, menus, presentation, and equipment needs.
• Other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
