Overview

Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job)

The Beverage Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the administration, operation, and direct management of the Beverage service.

Responsibilities
Core Service Standards
  • CLEAN: Must make the property shine and look impeccable while maintaining a neat and crisp personal appearance.
  • SAFE: Must make guests feel safe and comfortable through creating a worry-free, carefree experience.
  • FAST: Provide fast and efficient service with accuracy. Meet service time requirements and anticipate guest needs.
  • FRIENDLY: Greet each guest with friendly welcomes, making eye contact and smiling. Use H.E.A.R.T. steps to ease guest concerns. Say thank you to departing guests.
  • FUN: Work passionately as a team to create a fun experience for everyone who works and plays here.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop and assist in a supervisory capacity with the business plan and budget for the beverage service.
  • Responsible for inventory control and ordering supplies, food, and drinks necessary to operate beverage service.
  • Develop staff, including training, interviewing for new hires, assisting with performance management, disciplinary counseling, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment levels.
  • Delegate authority and assign duties as necessary.
  • Review departmental status with the Manager.
  • Develop, implement, and supervise programs to reduce and control loss time injuries.
  • Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
  • Demonstrate professionalism that reflects our brand and company values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in restaurant supervision and/or management, purchasing, and inventory control. Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage/Hospitality practices and procedures required.
  • Must be Serv-Safe and RAMP certified.
  • Knowledge of sanitation laws, health regulations, and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as required by the State Gaming Control Board.
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, push, pull, stoop, bend, and squat continuously. Able to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted for extended periods.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a high-energy casino environment with exposure to smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
  • May occasionally work in environments where smoking is permitted.
