Job summary

Columbia Distributing in Alaska is seeking a Sales Associate to drive sales, merchandising, and distribution goals across assigned accounts. You will support route relief for Sales Representatives and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

You will build beer and non-alcoholic category knowledge, manage inventory costs, and monitor market trends while adhering to MVP standards and company policies. This is a full-time role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required; minimum of 21 years of age.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell, rotate and merchandise the Columbia Distributing portfolio in all assigned accounts.
• Provide route relief for Sales Representatives as scheduled.
• Interact respectfully with inter-company departments, suppliers and customers.
• Establish and maintain industry knowledge: beer, non-alcoholic, food journals, trends, market share.
• Maintain themed programs to meet supplier and company standards.
• Submit required reporting, preplans, trackers, surveys, MVPs, expense reports, mileage logs on time.
• Manage inventory expenses per company policy.
• Understand and assist MVP Standards.
• Monitor competitive activity and communicate strategies.
