Job summary

DöhlerGroup in the United States seeks a Quality Control Lab Technician to perform chemical, physical, and microbiological analysis of beverage components and blends. You will prepare documentation and execute testing to ensure quality and food safety across production.

Responsibilities include calibrating lab equipment, conducting moisture, acidity, pH and brix analyses, performing sensory testing, and inspecting filling lines.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in science-related field
• 2+ years’ experience in laboratory environment
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in science-related field
• SAP Knowledge is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Verify lab equipment is functioning properly by performing and documenting calibrations daily or weekly
• Conduct physical and chemical analysis such as brix, moisture, acidity, pH of beverages, syrups, flavors and raw materials
• Perform sensory analysis on all bulks and finished product throughout the shift
• Conduct filling line quality inspections on the production floor including temperature checks, torques, weights and packaging checks
• Verify effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation procedures by performing pre and post-operational inspections of production equipment and ATP swabbing
• Make batch adjustments when a product is out of specification
• Place product on hold when it does not meet quality and food safety specifications
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and stocking of supplies
• Support investigations of customer complaint issues as needed
• Collect and send customer production samples and third-party test samples
• Adhere to HACCP, quality and safety standards and train/engage others as needed
• Work closely with production personnel to ensure quality
• Maintain a clean, safe and health-conscious work environment
• Enter and maintain data in ERP (SAP) system
• Maintain batch records and retain area organization
