Job summary

The Beverage Manager at the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Longleaf Restaurant oversees menu development, inventory, vendor relations, and staff training to maximize profitability.

You will curate wine, beer, and cocktails, manage costs of goods sold, ensure compliance with safety and liquor laws, and lead service teams during nights, weekends, and holidays. This role demands hands-on leadership in a high-end dining setting with a passion for sustainability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in an Upscale Casual or Fine Dining Restaurant.
• 2+ years of hospitality management experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Open Table, Google Mail.
• POS back-office experience, Spot On preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads restaurant operations in tandem with the General Manager, guiding staff in a positive manner.
• Assists with hiring, training, development, evaluation, and disciplinary counseling of on-site employees.
• Oversees wine, beer, and cocktail program development and inventory management.
• Ensures compliance with safety and liquor laws and maintains SERV Safe and TIPS certifications.
• Monitors guest satisfaction and drives improvements in service and offerings.
• Oversees ordering, receiving, and invoicing processes and keeps bar areas organized.
