Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Plant Manager for its high-volume beverage facility in Joplin, MO. This role leads filling and packaging operations, drives safety, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement, while coordinating with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of manufacturing leadership experience, strong knowledge of GMP/HACCP, and a track record of improving OEE and throughput in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requirements include high school diploma; an related undergraduate degree is preferred.
• Experience in beverage or food manufacturing is required.
• Proven supervisory or management experience in a high-volume operation.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead filling and packaging operations to meet production schedules.
• Establish daily to monthly production priorities to maximize throughput.
• Monitor labor, equipment, and material utilization to reduce downtime.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Recruit, train, and develop supervisors and hourly staff.
• Manage KPIs such as OEE, waste, yield, and safety metrics.
• Ensure GMP, HACCP, SQF compliance and safety programs.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
• Lead daily production meetings and performance reviews.
