Job summary

Caesars Entertainment is seeking a Beverage Department Manager for the Horseshoe Tunica operations. You will oversee all beverage activities, manage budgets, hire, train and develop personnel, and ensure service excellence in a fast-paced casino environment.

You will lead a team to deliver high standards, drive cost control, and collaborate with other departments to maintain a guest-focused operation.

Qualifications

  • 5 years in food and beverage with 3 years managerial experience in a multi-unit operation
  • Strong communication, supervisory and organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in total beverage service/bartending and cost control

Responsibilities

  • Manage beverage department budgets, profit & loss statements, cost analysis, planning and promotions.
  • Ensure regulatory, internal controls and policy compliance, ensuring service and product standards are met.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address business needs and communicate variances to the Director of Food & Beverage.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction with service and address complaints to achieve satisfaction targets.
  • Lead and coach employees, foster teamwork and maintain a safe, organised work environment.

Job Summary

Manage the overall operation of all beverage department including hiring, training & development of personnel. Establishes and endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment.


How You Will Create the Extraordinary


  • Handles overall beverage department budgets, profit & loss statements, cost analysis, planning and promotions.

  • Ensures regulatory, internal controls and policy and procedure compliance, ensuring the successful execution of beverage operation within the established operational service and product standards.

  • Develop and implement action plans to address business needs, communicating variances from established standards to the Director of Food & Beverage.

  • Ensure that the proper levels of service are provided based on forecasted needs; acting immediately on any guest complaint to ensure that corrections are made and that 100% satisfaction guarantee invocations are achieved.

  • Maintain a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable work environment for
    employees and guests, enforcing all appearance and uniform guidelines.

  • Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.

  • Serves as a dynamic, positive leader, while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication.

  • Acts as a role model and coach while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.

  • Ensures that team members clearly understand and are held accountable for their performance expectations.

  • Provides appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained.

  • Works as a change agent to improve and streamline department operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value.

  • Demonstrates excellent facilitator skills in resolving conflicts between different points of view.

  • Demonstrates leadership skills in determining a vision, aligns and inspires the team to achieve the vision.

  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and efficient operations in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment, by well‑trained, motivated employees.

  • Participates in the financial operating and capital planning processes and makes recommendations that achieve desired financial results.


What You Will Need


  • 5 years in the field of food and beverage, including 3 years managerial experience in a multi‑unit operation, preferred

  • College degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Must have strong communication, supervisory and organizational skills.

  • Knowledgeable in total beverage service/bartending including technical experience in drink preparation and service required.

  • Must possess good customer service, employee relations and leadership skills.

  • Must have good analytical abilities.

  • Must have knowledge of all phases of beverage administration, cost control, and familiarity with all beverage services.

  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests and employees.

  • Must be able to coordinate multiple tasks at once.

  • Must be able to implement strategic vision and plan into day‑to‑day operations.

  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations.

  • Must be able to conduct conversations with customers and employees and speak distinctly and persuasively with others.

  • Must have the ability to create written and financial reports.

  • Ability to train, follow and execute training manuals.

  • Must be able to get along with co‑workers and work as a team.

  • Must present a well‑groomed appearance.

  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.

  • Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
