Job summary

Empire Distributors Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking an On-Premise Sales Rep to grow our beer, wine and non-alcoholic product lines across the Durham area. You will manage accounts, place orders, and promote brand initiatives with taverns, hotels, restaurants, and bars.

The role requires basic knowledge of wine varietals and regions, a valid driver's license, and the ability to develop relationships with purchasing contacts while meeting monthly goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience.
• Must have the ability to sustain a current and valid Alcohol Sales Permit issued by the North Carolina ABC Commission and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Sells beer, wine and non-alcoholic products to taverns, hotels, restaurants, cocktail lounges, bowling alleys and other businesses.
• Service and maintain current accounts with orders and provide prompt, courteous customer service.
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads from newspapers, directories, ads, trade shows, and online sources.
• Prepares monthly planning and goals and tracks results; conducts sales reviews with accounts.
• Places orders and follows up to ensure best service; maintains existing accounts and handles credit terms.
• Schedules product promotions and wine dinners; travels territory calling on regular and prospective customers.
• Builds relationships with purchasing contacts and resolves delivery problems.
