Job summary

Grand Casino Mille Lacs is seeking a Beverage Shift Supervisor to oversee bar operations, drink preparation, and team leadership. You will ensure quality, safety, and guest satisfaction while managing inventory and training staff.

This role requires 3+ years in beverage service, 2+ years in a supervisory capacity, and certifications (Serv-Safe, Alcohol Awareness) with licensing through the Gaming Regulatory Authority. Join a team focused on exceptional service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressive Food & Beverage experience in a beverage service role.
• Two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience, preferably in hospitality with an emphasis on F&B.
• Serv-Safe Certification. Training is provided for the certification within one year of placement.
• Alcohol Awareness training. Training is provided within 2 months of employment.
• Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
• Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of beverage service, including bar operations, drink preparation, and maintaining an inviting and well-stocked bar area.
• Ensure beverages are prepared and served according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels of beverages, ingredients, and supplies, and collaborate with procurement to maintain stock.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations related to beverage service.
• Lead and supervise the beverage team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Foster a positive work environment with teamwork and strong customer service.
• Schedule and organize team shifts for coverage during peak hours.
• Lead by example with a strong work ethic and customer-centric mindset.
• Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with Guests in a friendly, knowledgeable manner.
• Address Guest inquiries and complaints promptly, aiming to exceed expectations.
• Monitor Guest satisfaction and seek opportunities to enhance the beverage experience.
• Train beverage team on product knowledge and service best practices.
• Keep the team informed about new beverages, promotions, and recipe changes.
• Monitor beverage quality, consistency, and presentation to meet standards.
• Check equipment and bar cleanliness; address issues as needed.
• Prepare reports on beverage sales and inventory for management.
