Job summary

Synergy Flavors, part of the Carbery Group, is hiring an Applications Technologist I to support beverage product development. You will optimize beverage formulations, screen flavors in bases, and resample projects while collaborating with sales, marketing, and the flavor creation team.

Based in Wauconda, Illinois, the role requires a BS in Food Science or related field and 0–3 years lab experience. Strong documentation, Excel/Word skills, and teamwork are essential to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Food Science or related applied science.
0–3 years of application lab experience in beverage product development.
Ability to work accurately, quickly and with good laboratory practices across multiple projects.
Strong documentation skills and proficiency with Excel, Word and relevant databases.

Responsibilities

Optimize beverage-based formulations with understanding of processing parameters.
Screen flavors in various beverage bases.
Complete selection and resample projects in a timely manner.
Participate in routine taste panels to understand flavor language.
Provide technical support on customer calls and collaboration with sales/marketing.
Write basic production formulas with guidance and make minor revisions under supervision.
