Position Title

Applications Technologist I

Position Summary

The Applications Technologist I supports the development of a wide variety of beverage products and works collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize beverage‑based formulations with understanding of processing parameters.
• Screen flavors in various beverage bases.
• Complete selection and resample projects in a timely manner.
• Participate in routine taste panels to understand flavor language.
• Work collaboratively with sales and marketing presentations and demos for customers.
• Utilize flavor knowledge to select best flavor for each application and work closely with flavor creation team to optimize flavors when needed.
• Provide technical support on customer calls.
• Perform routine processing of batches (carbonation, analytical tests, etc.).
• Write basic production formulas with guidance of Senior Applications Technologist.
• Make minor revisions to existing formulas under direct supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Food Science or related applied science.
• 0‑3 years of application lab experience in beverage product development.
• Ability to work accurately, quickly and with good laboratory practices across multiple projects within the day/week.
• Good documentation skills and proficiency in Excel, Word and assorted databases.
• Positive attitude, team player, engaging and effective communicator.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $56,000 to $76,000. Benefits details are available upon request.
