Job summary

YMCA Bethlehem branch seeks a Part-Time Childwatch Babysitter to support families. Earn $16/hour on-site at 900 Delaware Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054. Flexible weekend hours and benefits are offered. Join a supportive team and help create a safe, welcoming environment for children.

Requirements: minimum age 16 with NYS working papers, prior childcare experience, CPR/First Aid AED certification (or training within 30 days). Saturday shifts 8:30am–12:30pm; additional shifts may be available.

CHILDWATCH BABYSITTER - $16/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors).
• Prior childcare or babysitting experience required.
• Babysitting Certification is preferred.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (ALL POSITIONS):

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications(completed within 30 days of hire)
• New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Blood-borne Pathogens trainings(completed within 90 days of hire)
• Saturday: 8:30am - 12:30pm, additional shifts may be available.
