Job summary

The Bethlehem YMCA is seeking a dynamic individual for the full time position of Program Coordinator in Delmar, NY. This role supports the work of the Y by facilitating youth and sports programs, overseeing birthday parties and facility rentals, and assisting child watch staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with BA/BS preferred, experience coordinating programs, and CPR/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• High School/GED is required; BA/BS in Physical Ed., Recreation, or Sports Mgt. preferred.
• Prior experience coordinating programs and working with youth, teens and adults is required.
• Basic knowledge of computers with proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Publisher) preferred.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups of people from all social/economic segments.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (completed within 30 days of hire).
• New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE trainings (completed within 90 days).

The Program Coordinator facilitates youth and sports programs, overseeing birthday parties, facility rentals, and supports child watch staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School/GED is required . BA/BS in Physical Ed., Recreation, or Sports Mgt., is preferred.
• Prior experience coordinating programs and working with youth, teens and adults is required.
