Job summary
ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a BESS Technical Advisor in Chicago to support development of battery energy storage systems in our Pre-Construction team.
You will collaborate across Development, Origination, Engineering, Execution, and Procurement to develop opportunities and lead technical and commercial aspects of BESS developments. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science, 7+ years in renewable energy with BESS focus, and proficiency with MS Office, Power BI, Procore,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required.
- Minimum of 7 years in renewable energy with focus on BESS projects.
- Experience with or knowledge of AutoCAD for layouts or reviewing external work.
Responsibilities
- Develop bespoke distributed BESS technical solutions.
- Support budgeting and EPC cost estimating for DG BESS projects.
- Support permitting and interconnection applications for BESS projects in the development pipeline.
- Present technical and operational aspects of BESS projects to clients.
- Direct and supervise external consultants during early design and internal engineering prep of preliminary layouts.
