Job summary

Moss is seeking a Site Safety Manager for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. The role leads all Environmental, Health, and Safety functions across the site, ensuring compliance with Moss standards and regulatory requirements while coordinating with Operations, Electrical, and Commissioning teams.

The role requires 5+ years of EHS leadership, BS in OHS, and BCSP CHST certification. Travel up to 100% is expected across multiple states.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of applicable EHS leadership experience.
BS in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent preferred.
BCSP Certification (minimum CHST)
Experience supporting BESS, solar, substation, or industrial electrical projects.
Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 requirements and NFPA 70E fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Lead all EHS functions on the assigned BESS project site.
Provide direction to site safety staff and enforce the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP).
Coordinate with electrical and commissioning teams to manage interconnection and energization risks.
Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Conduct routine field audits, inspections, and safety stand-downs.
Support training initiatives and maintain safety documentation.
