Job summary

FlexGen Power Systems, LLC., based in Durham, NC, seeks a Procurement Manager for Battery Energy Storage Systems. You will lead global procurement for major projects and optimize strategy and cost across lifecycles.

You will oversee end-to-end procurement of BESS components, negotiate contracts, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvements while aligning with ESG goals and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience in the energy storage or renewable energy sector.
• Strong supplier negotiations, cost management and sourcing experience.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, contracts and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for BESS projects.
• Identify key suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure reliability.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement for batteries, inverters, and enclosures.
• Track procurement performance metrics and report to leadership.
• Mentor junior buyers and drive cost reductions and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety and regulatory requirements.
