Job summary

Terra-Gen seeks a BESS Technician II to operate and maintain project systems, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Willingness to travel, work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Reports to Remote Operations Site Supervisor and may supervise contractor work for safety and quality. The role emphasizes field execution, safety practices, documentation in CMMS, and timely reporting of maintenance activities to site management.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of electrical systems, BESS systems and their components and how to safely LOTO the equipment.
• Knowledge of building and structural construction techniques.
• Ability to safely troubleshoot system failures, to include ground faults.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills.
• Journeyman or licensed industrial electrician preferred; OSHA 30 and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair DC, low voltage AC, data acquisition and ESS components safely.
• Perform preventive maintenance on BESS systems including thermography.
• Audit third party work for safety, quality and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate contracted workers and observe OEM equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Document maintenance in CMMS and prepare management reports.
• Apply cybersecurity policies and observe safety and stop-work authority.
