Job summary

Moss is seeking a BESS Electrical Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and support field crews on large utility solar projects across multiple states. You will work with superintendents, contractors, and engineers to ensure high-quality electrical installations and adherence to project schedules.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of medium voltage experience, a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, and willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with medium voltage equipment and cable.
• Experience supporting large self-perform projects.
• Proficiency in installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of medium voltage cables.
• Knowledge of testing methods: current injection, Hi-pot, capacitance discharge, contact resistance, Megger, TTR, Doble.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality installation of electrical portions of the project, including underground electrical collections system.
• Support in oversight of drawings, constructability, submittal reviews, and feedback with the engineering team.
• Develop project schedules with supervisors and create 3-week look-ahead; ensure resources and support for teams.
• Supervise and coordinate with subcontractors and craft workers; ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Monitor safety, quality, and efficiency of subcontracted work on every project.
• Mentor field personnel and participate in hiring decisions as needed.
