Job summary

Moss is seeking a BESS Electrical Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and support large utility solar projects across multiple states. This role requires active collaboration with Superintendents, contractors, and field crews to ensure safe, quality electrical installations and adherence to project schedules.

The candidate will oversee drawing reviews, subcontractor coordination, and integration of fiber, power, and SCADA systems, while ensuring compliance with contract documents and site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with medium voltage equipment and installation of collection line construction.
• Experience on large self-perform projects.
• Proficiency in installation, testing, acceptance, maintenance, and repair of medium voltage cables.
• Knowledge of testing methods such as Megger, TTR, Doble, and other cable/equipment testing approaches.
• Possess working knowledge of electrical drawings, underground duct banks, trenching, manholes and vaults for distribution and collection systems, SCADA and commissioning.
• Current driver's license; 100% travel with rotations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality installation of electrical portions of the project, including underground collections system.
• Provide oversight and feedback with engineering on drawings and materials to meet contract specs.
• Develop project schedules with Superintendents and create 3-week look-ahead plans.
• Ensure work teams have resources and support; monitor safety and quality of subcontracted work.
• Coach and mentor field personnel, and participate in hiring decisions as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and craft workers to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
