Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer to lead the engineering and design of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, typically 10 MW to 500+ MW, delivering complete designs from development through construction support.

The candidate will bring strong power systems and renewable integration experience with the ability to coordinate multi-discipline teams, interface with OEM vendors, and ensure grid compliance (CAISO/WECC) across projects in the United States,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
7–12+ years in power systems, renewables, or energy storage.
Demonstrated experience in utility-scale BESS or solar+storage projects.
Strong understanding of medium- and high-voltage systems, IBRs, protection & controls.
Experience with power system study tools (ETAP, PSCAD, SKM, PSLF).
PE license required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering and design of utility-scale BESS projects (10 MW to 500+ MW).
Develop and review design deliverables: diagrams, layouts, specs, grounding and control schemes.
Coordinate with civil, structural, and transmission teams for site layout and HV interconnection.
Prepare engineering packages, drawings, and technical reports; support procurement.
