Job summary

RGA is seeking a Financial Controller for Bermuda Operations. The role leads Bermuda statutory and regulatory reporting, coordinates audits, and delivers board-ready financial materials. You will partner with global finance, risk and tax teams to ensure GAAP alignment and governance.

Ideal candidates have robust Bermuda regulatory experience, CPA/CA/ACCA credentials, and a proven track record in financial reporting, control design, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of combined post-qualification public accounting, insurance/reinsurance accounting, audit, financial reporting, statutory reporting or legal entity reporting experience.
• 5+ years of regulatory reporting experience within Bermuda insurance or reinsurance.
• 3+ years’ experience in a Bermuda-registered Class D or E long-term insurer or reinsurer.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory and regulatory reporting for Bermuda Monetary Authority and other bodies.
• Review US GAAP financial statements process for Bermuda entities.
• Prepare board and management reporting materials for senior leadership and boards.
• Oversee internal controls over financial reporting and remediation tracking.
• Coordinate external audits and deliver audited financial statements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
