Job summary

St. Francis Hospice (SFH) is seeking a Part-Time Bereavement Coordinator in Melbourne, FL to deliver grief support to hospice families and caregivers. The role involves coordinating services, providing counseling, and organizing memorials and workshops.

You will work across telephone, mail, and in-person modalities, partnering with the clinical team to assess family needs and connect them with resources. A Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required.
• Experience in counseling or social work related field preferred.
• Ability to provide support via multiple channels (phone, mail, in person)

St. Francis Hospice (SFH) is growing, and we need a Part Time Bereavement Coordinator to join our team. SFH is a well-established, mission-driven healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional hospice and palliative care services throughout our community.

The Bereavement Coordinator is responsible for implementing, managing, supervising and coordinating the full range of comprehensive grief support services to families and caregivers of hospice patients. The Bereavement Coordinator provides support via telephone, mail, and in person through individual grief support, memorial services, grief workshops, family assessment and conference. Provides therapeutic counseling to family members.

EDUCATION/TRAIN ING REQUIRED: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field.
