Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Process Integration Engineer focused on BEOL to join the Fab9 Integration team in Essex, VT. The role manages BEOL in an integrated CMOS flow, driving reliability and yield improvements while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The position requires strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills, with up to 10% travel. This is a daytime, on-site role in a 200mm wafer fab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a technical field plus several years of semiconductor manufacturing experience (6–7 years) or MS with 5–6 years or PhD with 3–4 years.
• Experience with front-end of line process integration and BEOL/MOL is preferred.
• Project management and team leadership experience to drive improvements; ability to navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize projects aligned with company goals.
• Lead a team of up to 5 staff to assess risk and execute tasks.
• Improve yield, reliability, and manufacturability of the CMOS BEOL flow.
• Drive cost reduction through process optimization and material choices.
• Transfer technologies into or out of the fab and collaborate with development teams.
