The City of Boynton Beach is seeking a Benefits Administrator to manage and design the City’s employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life and retirement plans. You will oversee enrollment processes, wellness strategies, vendor relations, and compliance with ACA and other regulations.

This role requires leadership of a benefits team, budget oversight, and collaboration across departments to optimize costs and service delivery, while maintaining stringent confidentiality

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, personnel management, business administration, public administration or closely related field.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible human resources experience in benefits administration or group insurance/benefits plan management.
• Possess (or obtain within one year of hire) professional certification through PSHRA-HR.
• Possess (or obtain within fourteen days of hire) and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Assists with managing operations and functions in key HR areas including benefits & wellness; collaborates on classification & compensation, training, HRIS, leave management, employee and labor relations; manages benefits fund budget and compliance.
• Supervises and evaluates staff; directs workflow, mentoring, counseling and performance feedback.
• Coordinates daily activities; plans, prioritizes, assigns work and monitors progress; provides technical expertise.
• Plans and implements annual Benefits and Wellness Fairs and Open Enrollment; manages enrollment communications, forms, payroll deductions and imports.
• Analyzes financial data including claims costs, expenditures and program utilization; recommends plan changes.
• Participates in strategic planning for future benefit changes and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Designs, develops and administers the City’s Wellness Program and manages vendor relationships.
• Prepares RFPs/RFQs/Bids for Group Health coverage and services; participates in vendor review.
• Administers HRIS related to benefits and provides guidance to employees and managers on policies.
• Compiles data, generates reports and maintains records; cross-trains for backup HR functions.
