Job summary

Harvard University’s Central Administration is seeking a Benefits Administrator to analyze and administer ancillary benefit programs. The role supports vendor relationships, ensures compliance with ERISA and related laws, and contributes to plan design improvements. Collaboration with Benefits, Finance, and HR teams is essential.

The position reports to the Sr. Director of Benefits & Retirement Strategy, participates in RFP discussions, and helps mitigate escalations for faculty and staff while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant benefits experience.
• Proven analytical and numeric skills.
• Project and program management experience.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA and related state and Federal laws.
• Collaborative vendor management style.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence across audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage ancillary benefits and the Unemployment Insurance process.
• Coordinate vendor management activities for ancillary benefits and service meetings.
• Assist in designing new processes to improve efficiency and participant experience.
• Collaborate with BCW teams on plan development and implementation.
• Lead projects for plan changes or vendor implementations.
• Develop and maintain reporting needs for BCW Finance and stakeholders.
