Job summary

Harvard University’s Central Administration seeks a Benefits Analyst to manage the administration of health and welfare programs. You will work with the Health and Welfare team within Total Rewards to ensure compliance with design provisions and contract terms.

You will analyze data requests, support plan design changes, and oversee unemployment insurance processes while collaborating with Finance, HR, and vendor partners in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant benefits experience.
• Proven analytical and numeric skills.
• Project and program management experience.
• Strong and current working knowledge of ERISA and related state and Federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and review benefit programs; document and implement processes.
• Serve as vendor manager for select benefit programs; manage invoices and claims processes.
• Review reports, identify trends, and suggest plan improvements and cost savings.
• Assist employees with benefits program questions and claims processing.
• Develop relationships with HR and Faculty Affairs staff to ensure proper administration.
