Job summary

Conner Strong & Buckelew is seeking an Employee Benefit Specialist to join the service team and support a book of business.

You will aid in pro-active client management, prepare client presentations, manage renewal data, lead vendor implementations, and develop open enrollment communications while resolving elevated claim issues. This role serves as a primary contact for day-to-day client servicing.

Qualifications

• College degree required with a major or minor in Risk Management or HR strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health and Benefits required.
• Life and Health License preferred.
• Exceptional organization and client service.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication.
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of an organization and adapt communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients and consulting team to provide excellent day-to-day service.
• Maintain Image Right; audit annually to ensure that accurate, up to date information is filed appropriately.
• Create the client calendar on an annual basis for each client and maintain in Image Right.
• Create the annual client renewal letter for each client and maintain in Image Right.
• Ensure fee agreements and disclosures are released on a timely basis; maintain in Image Right.
• Update Benefit Point with changes including rates, plan designs, vendors, and contacts.
• Answer or obtain assistance to answer client questions on a variety of benefit topics.
• Review SBCs, SPD, and other materials for accuracy for all lines of coverage.
• Manage carrier interactions to ensure timely data; coordinate with internal teams on deliverables.
• Assist with client work products including data for presentations and RFPs.
