Job summary

Conner Strong & Buckelew seeks a Senior Associate Consultant in Employee Benefits to service a portfolio of accounts under the guidance of an Employee Benefit Consultant. The role emphasizes analysis of plans, claims experience, benchmarking, and renewal support to align with client business goals.

The position requires 6+ years of EB service experience, strong knowledge of Health & Welfare plans, and a state license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience required.
• Excellent organizational, communication, decision-making, interpersonal, collaborative and consultative skills.

Responsibilities

• Support EB Consultant as a key member of the service team to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
• Analyze and negotiate rate renewals and year-end financials with client objectives and market trends.
• Participate in client strategy for bid specifications, vendor selection, and RFP management.
• Analyze employee benefit programs, contribution policies, eligibility, and plan design recommendations.
• Develop alternate vendor relationships and plan designs aligned with client budget and retention objectives.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory issues, and technology updates; communicate changes to clients.
• Prepare and present reports; update Benefit Point and mentor junior staff.
