Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking a Benefits Relationship Manager to join our Greensboro, NC team. The role focuses on delivering prompt, high-quality customer service, managing project plans, and serving as the primary contact between customers and insurance carriers.

Responsibilities include fostering strong client-carrier relationships, supporting benefits implementation, handling inquiries, and ensuring timely renewals and compliance across systems. Licensing in Life/Health is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in customer service within the insurance industry.
• Knowledge of medical, disability, life, and voluntary benefits.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of confidentiality.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Establish strong relationships with customers and insurance carriers.
• Provide proactive support; act as primary contact between customers and carriers.
• Collaborate and delegate within team to ensure timelines are met.
• Assist with setup of new lines of coverage and review plan details with customers and carriers.
• Handle inquiries re existing policies, coverage changes, billing, and service needs.
• Document renewal, sales, and compliance activities in agency systems.
• Promote teamwork and a positive departmental culture.
• Participate in ongoing training on industry developments and licensing requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
