Job summary

BeneSys, Inc. in Troy, MI is seeking a Benefit Plan Associate to support administration of employee benefit programs. The role requires attention to detail and strong organization to work with the Plan Manager and clients.

Responsibilities include preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes, reviewing invoices, and ensuring compliance with plan rules and government filings. Competitive benefits and a stable, in-office schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational and grammar skills.
• Ability to write minutes, communications, notifications, etc.
• Education and/or Experience – College education or prior related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Plan Manager in the administration of various employee benefit plans
• Maintaining and preparing materials for meetings, including minute writing
• Reviewing and process all correspondence, and invoices
• Ensuring that client-specific procedures are routinely practiced and enforced
• Assisting in obtaining the data necessary for benefit studies, annual audits, and timely submission of required government filings
• Exercising discretion in all matters relating to administration of the benefit plans and management of internal relationships
• Reviewing and analysis of monthly financial statements
• Interpreting plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other governing documents
• Interacting with trustees, plan professionals, contributing employers and participants
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
