Job summary

South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services seeks a Benefits Manager II to lead the Benefits Department within Human Resources. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in human resources management programs (benefits, classification and compensation).
• At least three years of supervisory experience in an HR setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead benefits and FMLA management and related accommodations processes.
• Oversee PEBA benefit programs (health, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement).
• Conduct new-hire orientations and ongoing benefits trainings.
• Supervise Benefits staff and ensure timely payroll-related tasks.
• Coordinate wellness events and health screenings across the agency.
