Job summary

Metrolina Greenhouses Inc. is seeking a Benefits & Leaves Specialist to administer leave, accommodations, and benefit programs. You will partner with employees and managers to explain programs, coordinate with UNUM and providers, and support open enrollment and ACA data validation.

You should have 3–5 years in HR or benefits administration, strong communication, Excel, and experience with HRIS/HCM systems. This full-time role is based in Huntersville, NC, offering a service-oriented environment

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in HR, leave administration, benefits administration, employee relations, or related function.
• Experience providing employee-facing support to employees and managers in an HR/benefits environment.
• Experience using an HRIS/HCM platform to support leave, benefits, ACA compliance, reporting and data auditing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate leave and accommodation cases from intake to resolution with UNUM and stakeholders.
• Explain leave programs to employees and managers in plain language; guide through challenging situations with empathy.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurers, and third-party administrators for leave, disability, and benefits programs.
• Support benefits administration and Total Rewards activities, including enrollments, COBRA, and data maintenance.
• Assist with new hire benefits orientations and open enrollment sessions.
• Maintain accurate employee records, support compliance reporting, and ACA tracking.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and employee communications.
