Job summary

Wayne Farms in Bryan, TX seeks an Employee Benefit Specialist to serve as the central contact for LOA, FMLA and disability leaves, entering leave data and following up on issues while supporting the HR Manager and team.

You will manage benefits questions, enrollment in Workday, and partner with Safety/EHS on workers' comp, ensuring accurate records and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year HR generalist experience; leave administration with FMLA/ADA knowledge preferred.
• Strong computer skills; proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; Workday or similar HCM system preferred.
• Excellent English communication; multilingual skills a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Self-starter with initiative in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with others and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage FMLA, disability and personal leave tasks per laws; enter data and update records.
• Serve as contact for employees, benefits, plant leaders; answer benefit questions.
• Update enrollment and dependent verification in Workday; coordinate with benefits.
• Partner with Safety/EHS on workers' comp claims; ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate with carriers and employees to facilitate leave and enrollment.
• Lead open enrollment events; inform employees of plan changes.
• Educate employees on benefit plans and enrollment opportunities.
• Support HR on employee engagement initiatives.
• Identify process improvements to streamline workflows.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
