Job summary

DataOne is seeking a Benefits and Learning & Development Specialist to administer benefits programs and coordinate training for all employees. You will serve as the SME for health, life, and leave, while also managing training onboarding, LMS records, and reporting for leadership.

The role requires 2–4+ years in benefits or HR coordination, a Bachelor’s in HR/Business or equivalent, and strong organizational and communication skills. This on-site position reports to HR Manager in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2–4+ years in benefits administration, HR generalist work, or training coordination.
• Experience with health, dental, vision, and life insurance plan administration.
• Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws.
• Experience using HRIS or LMS (Workday, ADP, UKG, Cornerstone).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a service-oriented approach.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality with sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary benefits SME for health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
• Administer day-to-day benefits operations: enrollments, changes, terminations, and life-events.
• Manage leave administration programs (FMLA, state leaves, disability).
• Coordinate between employees and insurers/brokers on claims and billing.
• Lead annual open enrollment communications and deadlines.
• Maintain HRIS/LMS records and generate leadership reports.
• Track training records and schedule onboarding sessions.
• Monitor training compliance and coordinate ongoing programs.
