Job summary

Consensus Health in New Jersey seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care and administrative duties in a fast-paced practice. You will prepare patients for evaluations, document vital signs, update EMR, and help maintain a smooth clinic workflow.

The role requires 6 months to 2 years of medical office experience, CPR certification, and familiarity with EHR systems (Athena preferred). We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 2 years in a medical office preferred.
• Familiar with EKG, Phlebotomy and patient care.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• CPR certification.
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems, Athena preferred.
• Knowledge of pre-authorizations and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff by providing direct patient care and taking vital signs.
• Support physicians by maintaining workflow and organizing exam rooms.
• Schedule initial evaluations and follow-up appointments.
• Enter patient history and update medication lists in EMR.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance and confidentiality.
• Answer phones and handle other office duties.
