Job summary

Goldwater Care is seeking a highly organized Benefits Coordinator in Illinois to manage and track employee benefits programs, including health insurance and FMLA leave. You will support employees through the claims process and help ensure regulatory compliance.

The role involves coordinating benefits administration, handling unemployment and workers’ compensation matters, maintaining records, and collaborating with HR, payroll, and management to deliver seamless benefits services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of benefits coordination or similar HR experience.
• Knowledge of FMLA, workers’ compensation, and unemployment laws.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
• Coordinate FMLA requests per policy and regulations; communicate eligibility and leave status.
• Assist with unemployment claims by gathering documents and responding to inquiries.
• Oversee workers’ compensation claims with injured employees, providers, and insurers.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations.
• Provide employee guidance on benefit options, enrollment, changes, and claims.
• Prepare reports on benefit usage, costs, and claims; assist audits and open enrollment.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, and management to ensure seamless benefits administration.
