Job summary

LCS, based in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst to support and enhance health, retirement, and leave programs across the organization. You will leverage benefits administration and data analysis to ensure accurate plan administration, compliance, and a positive employee experience.

You'll partner with HR and vendors, manage open enrollment, oversee 401(k) and NQDC plans, and lead process improvements while safeguarding PHI.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of benefits administration experience, including plan configuration, data analysis, and reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and applicable regulations.
• Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills with benefits data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail with documentation and organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration of health and welfare, retirement, and leave programs, ensuring accurate, timely delivery.
• Monitor benefits processes, identify risks, and coordinate with partners to resolve issues.
• Support compliance with regulations, plan documents, and reporting requirements (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, Section 125).
• Oversee annual open enrollment activities including planning, configuration, testing, communications, enrollment support, and reconciliation.
• Administer the organization’s 401(k) plan, including eligibility, contributions, and distributions.
