Job summary

Felix Construction is seeking a Benefits Analyst to enhance the employee experience and manage self-funded benefit programs. You will serve as SME for benefits administration, leave management, compliance, and analytics with a focus on self-funded medical plans.

In this role you will administer plans, analyze claims data, prepare leadership reports, coordinate with TPAs and brokers, ensure ERISA/HIPAA compliance, and support annual Open Enrollment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, total rewards, HR, or related field.
• Experience administering employer-sponsored health and welfare plans.
• Experience with leave administration including FMLA, ADA, and disability programs.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and communicate data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with HRIS and benefits administration systems.
• Excellent communication and employee service skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, and wellness benefits.
• Serve as a trusted resource for enrollment, life events, claims issues, and coverage questions.
• Onboard new hires and support annual Open Enrollment.
• Develop clear employee communications and educational materials.
• Analyze medical claims data, utilization trends, and cost drivers.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership on plan performance and costs.
• Support annual benefits strategy discussions, benchmarking, and design evaluations.
• Monitor preventative care utilization and key health plan indicators.
• Act as primary contact for TPAs, brokers, stop-loss carriers, and vendors.
• Coordinate eligibility, claims administration, invoicing, and reconciliation.
• Assist with vendor negotiations and renewal processes.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and related regulations.
• Maintain accurate eligibility data and partner with Payroll/Finance for deductions.
