Job summary

The Diocese of Green Bay is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support and manage its self-funded health insurance plan for employees across 16 counties, 150 parishes and 50 Catholic schools. The role reports to the Benefits Manager and is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities include invoicing, tracking and reconciliation, handling customer support calls, and maintaining vendor relationships, with emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; bachelor’s in accounting or business preferred.
• 2+ years in health insurance, benefits administration or accounting with invoicing/payables exposure.
• Experience with self-funded plans is a plus.
• Strong accuracy, organization and customer service.
• Proficient MS Office and vendor portals; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing, tracking and reconciliation of benefit-related data.
• Provide advanced benefit administrative services and vendor relations.
• Handle customer support calls related to benefits.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive information.
