Vituity, a nationwide remote employer, is seeking a Benefits Administrator to join our team. You will process payroll deductions from benefits vendors, reconcile between systems, and support Open Enrollment.

The role requires 1–3 years in HR/payroll/benefits, a bachelor’s in business or finance, and strong Excel skills. You’ll interact with People Operations, answer questions, and help ensure accurate benefits and payroll feeds.

The Opportunity

• Process and review payroll deductions from benefits vendor and participant changes into the payroll system.
• Reconciliation between vendors to ensure payroll deduction accuracy.
• Monitor and troubleshoot status changes, terminations, and new hires in HCM system to ensure accurate downstream feeds to the payroll and benefits administration system.
• Handle all questions from the Payroll Department and People Operations regarding benefits issues.
• Provide technical assistance in order to resolve system problems.
• Pre/Post Payroll Benefits Processor. Process deductions from the Benefits system and reconcile deductions against the payroll system.
• Assist with Open Enrollment (Pre/Post Audits).
• Reconcile and maintain the accuracy of the HSA, FSA, and DCAP benefit plans against the payroll and benefit systems.
• Administer, reconcile, and manage the life events and dependent verification process.
• Back up support for life insurance billing and plan processing.
• Prepare billing and team lead for the Commuter Benefits Program.
• If supporting Retirement Plan Administration (10%):
  • Prepare and process Schwab 401(k) contributions for outside clients.
  • Collaborate with Finance on the reconciliation of Schwab payments.
  • Manage the manual check & wires for physician contribution.
  • Troubleshoot with Union Bank for issues with their website.
• Answer participant questions through Vera ticketing system, phone call, or e-mail for all benefit plans.
• Advise employees of their benefit options and determine the best plan for each participant.
• Research and troubleshoot client questions and problems in various systems: Oracle, ADP, Bswift Benefit System, and outside vendor systems.

Required Experience and Competencies

• 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Benefits required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance required.
• Mathematical and finance aptitude required.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment required.
• Knowledge of Oracle HCM system, ADP Payroll systems, and Bswift Benefits administration platform or equivalent preferred.
• Basic knowledge of principles, standards, and accepted practices related to benefit plans.
• Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively in verbal and written form.
• Able to take detailed and complete meeting minutes.
• Must be personable and able to speak to various employees and physicians regarding benefit plans.
• Proficient in basic math principles.
• Understand and interpret regulations for State and Federal regulations for all benefit plans.
• Ability to maintain flexibility, cooperation, and participation cross-organizationally.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $29.19 - $36.49, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company’s annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
