Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in employee benefits administration.
  • Experience administering FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and other leave programs.
  • Experience with open enrollment and employee benefit programs.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSA, HSA, voluntary benefits, and retirement plans.
  • Process benefit enrollments, life event changes, terminations, beneficiary updates, and eligibility changes.
  • Maintain accurate eligibility records and ensure compliance with plan provisions.
  • Support annual open enrollment, employee communications, benefits education, and enrollment reconciliation.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefit questions, claims issues, and enrollment concerns.
  • Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, parental leave, and other leave programs.
  • Coordinate leave documentation with employees, leaders, healthcare providers, and third‑party administrators.
  • Monitor leave activity to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Maintain confidential leave records and documentation.
  • Serve as a primary administrator for employee benefit and HR data within Paycom and other HR systems.
  • Maintain employee demographic, employment, compensation, and benefits information.
  • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data.
  • Support system enhancements, testing, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain workflows, electronic forms, and system documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and benefit enrollment for new hires.
  • Manage employee off‑boarding activities, benefit terminations, COBRA notifications, and exit documentation.
  • Maintain personnel files and HR records in compliance with retention guidelines.
  • Support employment verifications, unemployment requests, and HR correspondence.
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing, audits, benefit deductions, and leave‑related payroll adjustments.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate reporting, deductions, and reconciliations.
  • Act as the primary liaison with benefit carriers, brokers, third‑party administrators, and leave vendors.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies, eligibility concerns, and service‑related issues.
  • Assist with vendor reviews and benefit program implementations.
  • Support compliance efforts related to ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125, FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation regulations.
  • Assist with ACA reporting, benefit invoice reconciliation, compliance audits, and required filings.
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports related to benefits, leave administration, and workforce data.
  • Monitor participation metrics, leave utilization, enrollment accuracy, and service levels.
  • Analyze trends and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • Support leadership with HR reporting and data requests.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for benefit and leave‑related inquiries.

Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Beacon Hill is partnering with a growing organization in the Maple Grove area to identify a detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to join their HR team. This role is responsible for the administration of employee benefits, leave programs, HRIS data management, compliance reporting, and HR operations support. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with benefits administration, leave management, HR systems, and employee support while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
  • Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSA, HSA, voluntary benefits, and retirement plans.
  • Process benefit enrollments, life event changes, terminations, beneficiary updates, and eligibility changes.
  • Maintain accurate eligibility records and ensure compliance with plan provisions.

Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in employee benefits administration.
  • Experience administering FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and other leave programs.
  • Strong HRIS experience with systems such as Paycom, UKG, ADP Workforce Now, Workday, or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing open enrollment and employee benefit programs.
  • Knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and related employment regulations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, data analysis, and reconciliation.
Preferred
  • CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR, or related certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing or multi‑site environments.
  • Experience supporting HRIS implementations or optimization projects.
  • Previous payroll administration or payroll support experience.
