Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Leawood, KS is seeking an Employee Benefits Assistant Account Manager to provide administrative support to colleagues, clients, and carriers in the EB department. You will maintain service and sales standards, manage enrollment processes, and coordinate with carriers on claims and eligibility.

The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment while ensuring accurate data across client files and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Agent’s license or ability to quickly obtain.
• Previous insurance employee benefits experience, as well as insurance/HR industry designations, preferred
• 4 Year degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Enter new client and update existing client information in CRM
• Keep client files up to date with current information for both clients and carriers
• Facilitate claims, billing, and eligibility resolution; refer to Producer/Account Manager/Account Executive as needed
• Assist with life transitions, including Medicare, dependents aging out of coverage eligibility, and COBRA eligibility
• Gather client census data, renewal plan design and rate information, claims experience data for RFPs
• Analyze market proposals to verify benefits, premium rates, and competitiveness
• Prepare enrollment materials and client presentations
• Coordinate plan installation with carriers and participate in enrollment meetings
• Handle requests for individual insurance (life, disability, medical) and transfer accounts to small group team
• Provide service to individual life insurance customers and maintain files
• Refer clients to Commercial and Personal Lines departments for related lines of business
• Maintain compliance with company policies and confidentiality
