Role

The Benefits Account Manager supports the sales of and provides service for customers. This role is responsible for changes, updates, and value-added services. This role supports the sale of employee benefits to organizations and is not related to the administration of employee benefits such as one might see in a company Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities

• Process policy changes and respond to inquiries with a high level of professionalism and timeliness.
• Answer client questions regarding payments and notices.
• Process endorsements for clients.
• Manage a diverse book of house accounts.
• Cross-sell additional lines of business to existing customers.
• Support designated staff.
• Review and respond to renewal activities.
• Follow up and see tasks through to completion.
• Always protect the best interest of both the company and the customer.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting the sale of employee benefits.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Current license required.
• Quick learner, able to pick up new knowledge rapidly.
• Computer literate, ready to use and learn technology for various portals and software programs.
• Strong communication skills, able to speak and write clearly and calmly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Organized, able to plan and operate in a well-organized manner.
• Team oriented, able to incorporate well with the existing team while maintaining a positive attitude and good energy.
• Professionalism, expected to set an example for other team members.

Education and Certification

Active license appropriate to the line of business is required.
