Job Description

Be the BenefitMall subject matter expert for all non-medical group benefits products in an assigned geography and with regional team. Develop an intimate knowledge of broker firms, the new business opportunity flow, and their existing book of business in an assigned geography to increase ancillary/voluntary benefits sales.

This position is fully remote. Our teams collaborate using video and screen sharing technology, making you feel part of the team while working from home.

Required Responsibilities
  • Fulfill production goals by selling non-medical/ancillary products to health insurance brokers and their groups.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of all non-medical products and processes, and how agents/brokers interact with these products.
  • Stay informed about insurance industry markets, products, and legal environments to provide value-added non-medical expertise.
  • Support agents/brokers and encourage them to grow their clients’ business with non-medical products by conducting follow-up calls, providing information on carrier procedures, assisting with sales materials, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Learn and utilize our non-medical products and services to reach sales goals.
  • Adhere to confidentiality standards.
  • Occasional long and irregular hours during peak times.
  • Resolve conflicts, solve problems, and provide feedback to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a related insurance/employee benefit sales role, ideally with a health insurance carrier.
  • In-depth knowledge of ancillary/voluntary group insurance products, preferably from working in marketing or sales with a carrier.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and proficiency with web browsers like Google Chrome.

Certifications: Life/Health Agent’s License is required.

The annual base salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, with additional incentive pay.
